Breast Health Services in Walker County

State-of-the-Art Treatment from Huntsville Women's Center

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women. Early detection helps the chances for rapid and successful treatment. We are happy to announce Huntsville Memorial Hospital has opened the Huntsville Women's Center. This beautiful facility is dedicated to creating a comfortable environment for women in our area to receive women's health services. Our facility is located behind the hospital in the “Copper Top” buildings in Suite 123.

Call 936-439-4826 today to schedule an appointment. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is ready to hear from you.

3D / TOMO Mammography

One of the most exciting things offered in our facility is 3-D/TOMO mammograms, which may provide a more accurate picture of a woman's breast health than traditional mammograms. Conventional mammograms produce images from two different angles. 3-D/TOMO mammography, however, takes numerous images as it moves in an arc over the breast of the patient. This creates much more vivid images and allows physicians greater insight into the health of the patient.

According to the American Cancer Society, women over the age of 40 should receive a yearly screening mammogram and conduct monthly self-exams in between. In addition to 3-D/TOMO mammograms, the Women's Center will be offering ultrasound and Dexa scans.

To get more information on how you can schedule your mammogram or dexascan at Huntsville Memorial, please call 936-439-4826. If you would like to find a physician who can treat you here in our community, please call 936.251.4595.
