The Outpatient Infusion Therapy Clinic at Huntsville Memorial Medical
Center offers a vast array of infusion therapy services for patients,
delivered by a highly skilled medical team. Our friendly, caring staff
is dedicated to providing exceptional care throughout the health care
continuum. The registered nurses in our outpatient center are held to
a high standard of care and serve as patient/physician liaisons.
Central line catheter care:
- Dressing changes
- Flush/ irrigation
- Packing/ de-clotting
- Lab draws
- Discontinuing central lines
- Hydration therapy
- Intravenous therapies
- IV antibiotic therapy
- Intramuscular injections
- Subcutaneous injections
- Therapeutic phlebotomy
Transfusions of blood products
- 2 day process- day 1 T&C drawn, then returns day 2 for Transfusion.

delivered in the security of a hospital environment. We utilize smart
pumps to ensure precise dosage delivery and many of our medications are
developed by our expert team of pharmacists on-site. In addition, our
Outpatient IV Clinic is backed by an accredited laboratory and is Joint
Commission certified. Patients can relax during their infusion in our
tranquil and inviting atmosphere. Also for patient comfort, we have provided
recliners, access to a large screen TV with cable, and free WIFI.
Scheduling and Insurance
Huntsville Memorial Hospital accepts most commercial insurance and Medicare.
Our goal is to assist patients in knowing their financial obligations
based on their insurance provider prior to their therapy appointment.
Hours of operations are: Monday thru Friday 7am to 4pm

Infusions may take several hours, while some require a shorter period of
time. Due to the nature of the services provided, it is important that
all patients arrive in a timely manner. Patient should wear loose comfortable
clothes. If patients have a central line or implanted port, please ensure
that your clothing allows ease of access to the line.
