Annual Snakebite Seminar

Join us for this fun & educational event! Thursday, July 26 from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Walker Co. Storm Shelter, we will be welcoming SHSU Herpetologist Dr. Lutterschmidt as he educates us on how to identify venomous & non-venomous snakes, what to do if bitten and how to avoid getting bitten. We will also have live snakes on display from the Texas Venom Experience where they will also educate you on identifying these snakes as well as explaining the importance of them to our ecosystem as they do a live interactive show! Vendors that will be in attendance: KSAM road show with spin the wheel prizes, Huntsville Fire Dept with a fire truck for the kids to look at, Ellen Trout Zoo with live displays & education, Poison Control, Texas Parks & Wildlife, HMH Medical Clinics, Crofab Viper Venom Company & a local snake handler.
