The Huntsville Memorial Hospital Medical Library Resource Center was originally organized to meet the needs of the Joe G. Davis
School of Vocational Nursing which was established in 1965. At that time, the "Library" was one shelf of reference
books in the school director's office. Through financial support of Huntsville Memorial Hospital, the Medical
Resource Center has current holdings 2186 books, 41 current periodical titles, 1199 videos and numerous medical
related brochures.
This library serves health care professionals, Sam Houston State University students and faculty, Huntsville Independent School District, area health care providers, and customers of Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
