For complex procedures, the Huntsville Memorial Hospital staff supports surgeons for both minimally-invasive and traditional surgical procedures.

The surgical department of Huntsville Memorial Hospital includes six operating suites and a cysto room, equipped with special x-ray equipment for urology procedures. The facilities are used for a broad range of procedures including general, endovascular, orthopedic, OB/GYN and thoracic surgeries.

The surgical department features specialized equipment, including a c-arm fluoroscope, high-definition Stryker laparoscopy system, homium laser, and high-definition Pentex video endoscopes. A mobile lithotripsy unit is also on site at the hospital twice a month.
